Role Overview

As Treasury Analyst I, you will support the overall Treasury and Cash Management of the Cortland enterprise.  Investors, colleagues, and partners alike have absolute confidence in treasury and cash management because of your leadership, adherence to treasury department rules and company policy, and precise attention to detail. 

 

  • Monitor daily cash balances to ensure adequate liquidity and meet operational needs.  
  • Prepare weekly cash balance requests to support financial visibility and decision-making. 
  • Review and resolve daily ACH debit exceptions in coordination with banking partners. 
  • Serve as program administer for corporate card and community petty cash programs, including setup, maintenance, and compliance oversight. 
  • Process and deposit checks for community and corporate bank accounts in a timely and accurate manner.  
  • Monitor online banking administration, including user access, security controls, and account maintenance. 
  • Create ACH reimbursement batches for the Account Settlement Department (ASD). 
  • Prepare fraudulent endorsement claims in partnership with our vendors and former tenants. 
  • Obtain and forward bank statements as requested by Cortland accounting associates.  
  • Prepare payments for platforms including ConcoursePaymentNet, and Vatic  

 

Additonal Responsibilities may include:

  • Initiate wires, ACH transactions, account transfers, book transfers and intercompany transfers including capital market transactions 
  • Verifpayments through established call back procedures and account validation tools to maintain control and prevent fraud.  
  • Prepare bank documentation, including accounting forms, wire templates, and ACH instruction files.  
  • Monitor closed bank accounts, contacting banking partners to ensure timely completions of requests.  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. 
  • Great time management and ability to meet deadlines 
  • Ability to quickly respond to urgent requests 
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Well-organized and ability to prioritize 
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail 
  • Team player, able to change schedule to accommodate the goals of the team and the company. 
  • Able to handle pressure and projects with little or no advance warning.
