Role Overview

As the Corporate Lease Manager, you establish and manage the central Corporate Leasing function to optimize revenue and experience. You bring sales and customer service expertise in working with corporate partners to broaden Cortland’s appeal to firms and highlight service levels to make Cortland a top competitor for corporate leases and repeat business from those partners. You collaborate with both regional and community teams to ensure that the leasing, move-in, and resident experience for corporate partners meets and exceeds Cortland standard. The manager also establishes and maintains the corporate lease approval workflow to ensure that fraud and delinquency from poor corporate leasing practices is minimized. 

 

  • Monitor and manage the corporate lease approval workflow for all sites to review corporate lease applications, ensure that the applicant is screened and approved to our standards and that fraud is denied and partners are high quality.
  • Source and establish relations with corporations and corporate leasing firms in Cortland markets to develop sales funnel of corporate units through new partnerships.
  • Elevate repeat partners across communities and regions to a tier of partnership that provides dedicated central POC for future leasing, works with revenue management to provide special pricing and highlight strategic locations to the partner, and serve as an escalation and resolution for issues at the communities.
  • Serve as project manager for central deployment of corporate lease partnerships. Pull admin info for Master Lease Agreements and work with community managers to select and reserve units for programs. Ensure that community teams are informed on bookkeeping processes and audit revenue reporting and accounting practices.
  • Oversee day-to-day processes related to corporate lease partners and occupants to ensure top-level experience.
  • Monitor daily workload to ensure all items are worked and resolved in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Continually evaluate processes and procedures; coordinate change as needed
  • Develop, implement, and promote staff education opportunities that offer professional development and skill enhancement; evaluate associate performance and recommend annual merit compensation
  • Create reports related to corporate lease activity and provide executive updates on revenue generation.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field., or equivalent experience required. Equivalent years of experience are defined as one year of professional experience for each year of college requested
  • 2 years’ experience as community manager on institutional multi-family assets preferred
  • Experience in the multifamily industry preferred
  • Previous Sales Management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • High level of organizational skills, time management expertise, and attention to detail
