Role Overview

As Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition Operations at Cortland, you’ll lead recruiting strategies and execution for our Community Operations teams, guiding a team of recruiters while also directly contributing to hiring for key roles. You’ll bring a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on execution, driving performance, operational excellence, and talent outcomes that support business growth. 

  • Collaborate with the VP of Talent Solutions to build and execute a scalable, data-driven recruitment strategy aligned with organizational priorities 
  • Lead, coach, and support a team of recruiters to deliver strong hiring outcomes and candidate experiences 
  • Personally manage select high-impact searches to ensure timely and high-quality hires 
  • Streamline recruiting processes to improve efficiency, reduce time-to-fill, and elevate hiring manager engagement 
  • Use dashboards and analytics to track pipeline health, recruiter performance, and hiring trends 
  • Oversee recruitment marketing spend and vendor partnerships to ensure ROI and sourcing effectiveness 
  • Champion adoption of tools like HireVue and ATS platforms, ensuring consistent and effective usage 
  • Develop sourcing and branding strategies to build diverse talent pipelines in key and emerging markets 
  • Partner with Operations leadership to align workforce planning with hiring strategies 
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the TA team 

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in talent acquisition operations, including leading high-volume, fast-paced recruiting functions
  • Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing talent acquisition teams in high-volume hiring environments, with demonstrated success overseeing both individual contributor and leadership-level recruiters 
  • Proven ability to build, manage, and coach high-performing teams in a growth-oriented environment 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate competing priorities and influence at all levels 
  • Demonstrated success in optimizing recruitment processes and driving operational improvements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
