Role Overview

As the Talent Sourcing & Recruitment Coordinator, you will play a key role in our talent acquisition efforts by sourcing, engaging, and coordinating top talent to fuel Cortland’s growth. Reporting to the VP of Talent Solutions, you’ll partner with recruiters and hiring managers to ensure a smooth, organized, and candidate-friendly hiring process, while also providing administrative support to the VP to help keep key projects and priorities on track.

 

Candidate Sourcing & Outreach

  • Identify and engage potential candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, networking, and referrals.
  • Build and maintain pipelines of candidates for current openings and future hiring needs.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Cortland’s core job profiles and talent requirements.
  • Reach out to and build relationships with passive candidates to generate interest in Cortland opportunities.

Candidate Experience & Process Support

  • Coordinate interviews, manage schedules, and handle logistics for candidates and interview teams.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for candidates, ensuring timely communication and updates.
  • Collect and track interview feedback to help drive timely hiring decisions.
  • Support scheduling and logistics for executive-level and high-priority interviews, both virtual and in-person.

Recruiting Operations & Administrative Support

 

  • Maintain accurate candidate data and workflows within the applicant tracking system.
  • Assist with recruiting reports, dashboards, and pipeline tracking.
  • Help manage recruiting vendor relationships, process invoices, and support recruiting tools.
  • Provide administrative support to the VP of Talent Solutions, including meeting coordination, tracking action items, preparing documents, and supporting special projects and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in HR, recruiting, or administrative support (internships count)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Interest in building a career in recruiting or HR.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn, job boards, or applicant tracking systems (or eagerness to learn)
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a focus on creating a positive experience for candidates and hiring teams.
