Role Overview

As a Regional Revenue Manager, you perform extensive quantitative and qualitative analyses to support senior leadership in monitoring revenue performance and identifying opportunities for revenue growth within various regional portfolios. You will also take the lead on numerous projects and initiatives as Cortland continues to innovate and adapt to changing market conditions. Here are the roles you’ll play:

 

The Revenue Guru

  • Use analytics and data to manage asset outperformance and revenue growth
  • Aggregate results up to a portfolio or sub‐market level for executive review
  • Evaluate configurations within revenue management software to ensure alignment with asset strategy
  • Research market data to assess trends and alert leadership to potential risks and opportunities
  • Create new analysis methodologies to incorporate into existing portfolio of reports

The Leader

  • Collaborate with relevant associates, bringing credibility, commitment, and energy to the team
  • Articulate and set the direction and tone for projects with coworkers and other department leaders
  • Act as a skillful trainer of topics within your area of expertise
  • Identify and execute actionable revenue improvement initiatives and business strategies
  • Support daily pricing decision makers through analytical review of trends and forecasts

  • Investors have a clear picture of how their assets are performing, thanks to your ability to compile and analyze all the pertinent data and create reports that are easily understood.
  • Operations staff members utilize your findings to identify areas of concern and fix them, so their assets can perform at their highest revenue potential.
  • Assets have reached their occupancy goals as a direct result of your rate recommendations and risk avoidance advice.
  • Top line revenue outperformance is strengthened as impactful initiatives are identified, cultivated and successfully executed.

Qualifications

  • Stellar 3+ years of experience in a similar analytical role working with revenue management software, preferably in the real estate industry
  • Demonstrated administration or daily management of revenue management software
  • History of successful project management or leadership, as a role or function of a role
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, related major, or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytics, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Impressive forward-thinking, strategic decision-making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate and present complex information
  • Stellar organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel
