Job Overview

As a Regional Supervisor of Cortland Front Door, you manage the total service delivery for 30+ apartment communities. You work with our community teams to ensure resident satisfaction through ongoing community engagement and oversight to a team of 15-30+ Front Door Waste Technicians within an assigned region. Here are the roles you’ll play:

Roles You Will Play

The Leader

 

  • Discuss associate development needs and subsequently facilitate appropriate support, coaching, and training opportunities
  • Make informed decisions with consideration to resident/community impact, ensuring maximum quality of service for Cortland residents and community teams
  • Create and maintain cooperative working relationships and frequent communication with community teams through daily site visits and immediate response to questions and concerns
  • Take the lead for training and safety of all service teams in designated region
  • Provide in-person support to Front Door Waste Technicians, Community Managers, Service Managers, and community teams within your region

 

The Quality Controller

 

  • Facilitate and lead new community launches, including container distributions
  • Drive to inventory warehouse when needed for supplies (personal protective equipment, containers/waste stations, or other supplies)
  • Ensure daily/nightly completion of resident doorstep trash/recycle pick-up and bulk waste for assigned properties
  • Keep vehicles properly fueled and an updated inventory of supplies; manage proper usage among Service Associates
  • Assist in management or service roles if or when needed to ensure there is limited service disruption
  • Promote a service-first approach with excellent resident communication and professionalism

 

The Record Keeper

 

  • Keep timely and accurate community, associate, and operational records
  • Comply with, promote, and train on all safety policies and procedures; report all safety incidents in a thorough and timely manner
  • Ensure daily delivery of company reports to designated community teams and Director of Cortland Front Door
  • Inspect properties regularly for resident and service associate compliance
  • Create and manage a schedule for service associates
  • Manage a labor budget depending on number of assigned properties
  • Approve time sheets and ensure communities are serviced as scheduled

Building Blocks of Success

  • Strong 2+ years of experience in multi-site operations leadership
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous customer service and people management experience
  • Knowledge of basic employment law, customer service fundamentals, and leadership principles
  • Ability to manage stress and adapt to changing environments; ability to perform effectively in environments with frequent workload changes and competing demands
  • Capability to communicate with others, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams within the organization
