Job Overview

As a System Administrator (Coupa), you will play a vital role in managing and optimizing the Coupa Procurement application, ensuring seamless integration, functionality, and user satisfaction across Cortland’s operating platform. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain system integrity, drive process improvements, and enable business success.

 

Roles You Will Play

The Technical Expert

  • Manage the Coupa application’s technical operations, including system performance monitoring, issue resolution, and optimization.
  • Oversee integration design, development, and maintenance between Coupa and other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, payment platforms, supplier portals).
  • Perform system upgrades and maintenance to ensure minimal disruption and optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated integration issues and system errors in collaboration with technical teams and vendors.
  • Act as a help desk for Coupa-related issues, providing technical support to internal users and resolving application-related incidents promptly.
  • Assist in implementing new supplier catalog integrations and ensuring accurate, up-to-date product data within the system.
  • Support change management activities by coordinating application change processes, including planning, execution, and stakeholder communication.

The Process Optimizer

  • Manage and implement Coupa release updates, including documentation, testing, and stakeholder communication regarding new features or impacts.
  • Develop, document, and execute integration and configuration testing plans for major updates, such as new fields, workflows, and process changes.
  • Partner with business super users to identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation within the Coupa system.
  • Provide recommendations to enhance system functionality, integrations, and overall performance.
  • Maintain system security by managing user roles, performing periodic access reviews, and conducting vulnerability assessments.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing system data, documentation, and insights.

Building Blocks of Success

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience as a system administrator or in a similar role, with expertise in Coupa or procurement software.
  • Coupa Procure-to-Invoice System Administration Certification as highly preferred
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with system integrations, configuration testing, and release management.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement processes is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
