Job Overview

As the Senior Community Manager will oversee a portfolio of multifamily apartment home communities leading all aspects of operations including sales, maintenance, staffing, financials, budgets, and vendor management. As the regional leader, you will travel within your portfolio to ensure company standards, resident satisfaction, occupancy, compliance with policies and procedures, safety, and fair housing guidelines while motivating and leading your teams to success 

Roles You Will Play

  • Oversee daily operations, managing budgets, and setting performance objectives throughout assigned market 
  • Assessing and optimizing each associates strengths to handle unexpected situations and addressing shifting needs enhancing efficiency throughout the community. 
  • Foster engagement across multiple communities with clear communication, expectations and goals encouraging team collaboration.  
  • Partner with multiple departments such as Resident Services and Lease Admin to help ensure effective partnerships, seamless workflow, and resident experience.  
  • Achieve the highest possible net operating income through the implementation of effective cost control and revenue & leasing improvement; identify trends and recommend strategies and adjustments. 
  • Oversee fiduciary planning and governance, assess performance, create action plans to exceed goals, and engage in creative problem-solving – especially when it comes to residents 
  • Operate with a forward-thinking mindset, maintaining an awareness of growth and the capability to scale 
  • Form constructive partnerships with your regional support teams, construction and Centers of Excellence maximum performance success 
  • Display your in-depth understanding of managing budgets and executing financial success in your partnership with the Investment team and ensure that your community is performing in accordance with its business plan and close out is completed.  

Building Blocks of Success

  • Solid 3+ years in multisite of a multimillion-dollar, multisite operations, and P&L management 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or related field preferred  
  • Demonstrated success with innovative, large team leadership 
  • Superior record of improving business results and sophisticated business plan execution 
  • Expert time management, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced work environment 
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and proactively solve problems
