Job Overview

As the Vice President of Integrated Facilities Management, you will play a critical role in building and leading a scalable centralized world class facilities function including Preventative Maintenance, Turn Teams and Project Teams.

 

This is a fully office based role in Atlanta, GA. 

Roles You Will Play

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and drive strategy for the centralized facilities platform including the Integrated Facilities Management platform as well as all remaining Facilities services on site and at our corporate offices.   
  • Recommend technology as an enabler to accomplish strategic imperatives. Ensure recommendations optimize departmental performance while aligning with existing cost structures.
  • Complete P&L responsibility for the Integrated Facilities Management platform. Additional accountability for all maintenance, turn, and capital projects/expenses at the communities and our corporate locations.
  • Optimize service delivery to Cortland sites, ensuring all facilities are fully operational and made-ready, and maintaining a high degree of community and resident satisfaction.
  • Develop new operating model including standardized and repeatable work processes, preventative maintenance programs, and tech-enabled tools.
  • Drive development and implementation of best practices, continuous improvement efforts, and innovations to deliver greater efficiency, quality, and resident experience.
  • Develop positive and effective work relationships with all levels of management and departments within Cortland, and specifically strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration with Operations and Cortland Build (construction).
  • Contribute to the overall organizational health, promote the department, and contribute to the investment thesis for all assets, and provide thought leadership and strategic vision to facilities-related projects.
  • Enforce all company policies and training requirements regarding safe and efficient operations and work practices.

Building Blocks of Success

  • Stellar 10+ years’ experience in progressively responsible facilities roles, including experience as with centralized facilities management organizations or Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) organizations
  • Experience with facilities management software used in Real Estate and broader industries (e.g., Corrigo, SightPlan, Property Management Systems (PMS))
  • Experience leading large, complex organizations, including guidance and management of regionalized teams
  • Visionary leader with the executional horsepower and desire to get the job done
  • Solid ability to manage project team members and advance design wor
