Job Overview

As the Technology Operations Project Manager, you use your project management skills to drive improvements to our technology and telecommunications processes, including billing and invoicing, tracking service requests, and managing communication. 

Roles You Will Play

The Coordinator  

  • Develop comprehensive project plans utilizing industry best practices and methodologies, supporting the deployment of new technology solutions at various levels within the community.
  • Gather necessary data, establish timelines, and coordinate resources effectively to ensure project success.
  • Facilitate smooth execution of project tasks and milestones, adhering to established timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure seamless integration, testing (QA, UAT), and change management processes across teams for stable deployments.
  • Review telecom expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimizing service plans. 

 

The Strategic Communicator 

  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and installers, overseeing updates and installations.
  • Develop strong partnerships with stakeholders involved in technology design, procurement, and support services, fostering a shared understanding of project objectives and decisions.
  • Lead and mentor a team of technology professionals, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting teamwork, accountability, and excellence in performance.
  • Support negotiation of managed services contracts, including identifying key operational priorities and providing recommendations for SLAs, KPIs, and operational terms. 

 

The Techie 

  • Drive the implementation and optimization of technology solutions to enhance team efficiency and resident experiences.
  • Maintain a digital document management system for the Technology department, ensuring organized and accessible documentation.
  • Facilitate the optimization of property phone lines and services, leveraging strong technical knowledge for efficient resource allocation.

Building Blocks of Success

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related experience in multifamily operations, IT project management or related field  
  • Experience working in telecom, IT, networking, or IT infrastructure technology   
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology and ask investigative questions 
  • Experience driving and maturing continuous integration and quality automations 
  • Proven team player with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic agile work environment 
  • Supported a metrics-driven data culture to drive accountability and transparency 
  • Passionate problem solver and motivated self-starter including ability to analyze situation and recommend sound solutions and implementation strategies 
  • Experience working as hands on technical resource preferred 
  • Workflow definition and management with Agile Project management tools such as JIRA, Rally, or Version One preferred
